Welcome to DNA Quarter Horses! We specialize in breeding Foundation Quarter Horses with color, producing Grullos, Duns, Palominos, and Dunalinos. We are located in sunny southern California, in the city of Norco, dubbed 'Horsetown USA'. With over 95 miles of horse trails incorporated into the city, and 400 acres of parkland along the Santa Ana River, Norco has become our oasis from the evergrowing citylife around us.
After 30 plus years of horse experience, getting back to basics with Foundation Quarter Horses was a natural evolution for us. Finding our stallion, American Steel, restored our faith in 'good-ole-horses' with soundness of body AND mind! His awesome disposition makes him an excellent trail horse for Norco city and river trails, and he is a natural at 'playing with the cows'. He inspired us to aquire a special group of foundation mares to cross with him. And thus the search began, taking us cross-country from Oregon to Arizona, California to Missouri, hand picking mares who possess all the qualities we've come to expect from a Quarter Horse. Our band of AQHA / NFQHA mares all share traits like quiet dispositions, correct conformation and balance, good bone, great legs and feet, keen heads with big soft eyes, and, of course, the added bonus...beautiful color. With foundation percentages in the high 90's to 100%, their bloodlines showcase all the greats, such as Poco Bueno, King, Wimpy, Otoe, Jesse James, Blackburn, Little Steel Dust, Peponita, and more.
Although, we do not stand to the public, we are very proud to offer a select group of foals each year.
